Carpool to Indian Creek Road near Beaver Lake. This is near Indian Creek Campground. There is no fee for parking or hiking. Hike Indian Bluff Trail (1.3 miles. 45 minutes, easy). Then drive to Beaver Dam overlook to hike the Dogwood Overlook Trail (2 mile loop, approx. 1 hour, moderate).

Artist Point Trail. 1 mile trail (2 miles round trip) behind the gift shop.
This trail is a constant decline from the spectacular overlook into typical dense Arkansas forest with a waterfall (assuming adequate rain). The hike out is uphill but not rugged.
(Hopefully fall colors will be peaking).
