As the U.S. shuts down and pleads with Americans to “Stay Home” we feel staying home is the right thing to do for the safety of all club members.
Being cautious because of “Social Distancing” just takes the fun out of everything, but we all have obligations to our family and friends to comply. Since we have fairly large groups on our hikes, we would not be setting a good example for our members to not be "social distancing" or to anyone who might observe us.
So with that said, we are postponing all club hikes until it is deemed safe to socialize and we are postponing our Spring trip to Mountain View until April 21-23rd. Again, we will take a wait and see on Mountain View in April, as anytime after that would be too hot. Also, the Ozark Folk Center has temporarily closed till April 17th- another wait and see on that date.
As club officers we agreed this is the right thing to do for our members and our families.
Dora will be sending out more information to all club members on Monday explaining the whole new process on current reservations or any new reservations. So please do not cancel or add yourself until you read her email.
We encourage our members to stay active in small groups and ask you NOT to post any future walks or hikes on the Hill 'n Dale Facebook Page.
Until there is a better understanding of the trajectory of this contagion all club activities will be put on hold.
Please stay safe, follow the COVID-19 guidelines, and please let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

We are a Bella Vista based club with members from here, as well as other parts of NWA. Sometimes we hike locally; many times we hike further away. We walk! We talk! We get good exercise! We see lots of beautiful places. We have socials! Mainly, we just have lots of fun! If you’d like to join us on one of our hikes before joining the club, please see our contact page.
